Escape with Dorothy from Kansas and meet The Tin Man, The Scarecrow, The Cowardly Lion, and visit the Emerald City. This classic story is filled with great songs including: "If I Only Had a Brain," "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," and "We're Off to see the Wizard." This is a Children's Theater presentation with an inter-generational cast. Enjoy the Munchkins, The Wicked Witch of the West, and the Good Witch of the North.

Chanticleer Community Theater will hold auditions for "To Kill a Mockinbird" September 12 & 13th at 7:00 at Chanticleer. Production staff will include Mark Manhart as Director. Production dates are November 12 - 28, 2010

This play is based on Harper Lee's Pulitzer Award - winning novel. It is a captivating story about an attorney, Atticus Finch who defends a black man in depression era Alabama in a rape case. His two children Count and Jem learn many lessons about racial injustice. This is a classic look into life in the South during the depression.

This play is based on the book by Louisa May Alcott. The March sisters: Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy Experience life in post-Civil War Massachusetts. We grew up reading this story and now come experience the life of these four sisters on the Chanticleer stage.

This play is based on a book by Clarence Day about his own life and family. The Clarence Day family of New York City circa 1880s is a well structured household. Clarence is a wealthy man who can sometimes be a little difficult. He has gone through a long list of housekeepers. He has a wife and four sons. The play ran on Broadway for seven years. This production is a humorous look at a family's life.

An incredible score and great story make up this award-winning musical. The main character is Tevye the milkman. The play takes place in 1905 during a turbulent time in Czarist Russia. The small village of Anatevka is the setting. Tevye and Golde have five daughters who are the focal point of the musical. The songs include "If I were a Rich Man," "Sunrise Sunset," "Matchmaker," and "Tradition." It is one of the longest running musicals on Broadway. The production hasn't been on the Chanticleer stage since 1972.
